Loving the romantic city breaks

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

So you thought Valentine’s Day was over for another year? Well, think again! But don’t worry this is just a short blog to update you on the Valentines poll that we had running on Globebloggers. Thanks to everyone who entered the poll, and we think it is only right to let you all know the results.

We asked you what you would rather do on a Valentine’s short break. Ok, well basically the clear winner was the city tour, with 55.5% of the votes. So if you want to impress your Valentine next year, maybe this is something that you should get thinking about early. But that doesn’t mean that all of you would be happy with strolling around a historical city, enjoying the ambience – 33% of you would be rather relaxing on a beach. This is not that surprising given the horribly cold weather we have been having in the UK lately. An adventurous holiday, be it horse-riding or zorbing, was not as popular, only making 11% of the votes. But for those of you who did choose this option, it is worth remembering that you will need to check your travel insurance policy covers you for hazardous sports – for more info check out www.allcleartravel.co.uk.
