We cannot believe we have reached the end of the ‘noughties’ already! As we enter the start of 2010, we thought it would be a good idea to include some thoughts on what travel will be like in 2010 and beyond. We are not envisaging space travel (although if Richard Branson and Virgin have anything to do with it, maybe we are) or travel to the centre of the earth. But as we move forward out of the recession there is likely to be some new travel trends.

Here are a few travel predictions to think about….According to Forbes, the American Business Magazine,  The Big Trend will be a continued shortfall of premium-priced air and hotel clients, while stays in lower-level hotels will continue.

Also, travellers seeking to maximize the return on their investment will focus on family travel and cultural experiences.

Another prediction from Forbes is that there will be strong movement toward green accommodation, green travel and green transport.
